Cover Slide
This assignment required creating a social media post for an event. I chose to design a post for CultureCon, inspired by their existing social media presence and my personal plans to attend the event. The goal was to represent the networking aspect and diverse attendees of CultureCon, specifically targeting Black creatives. The design incorporates various animated slides showing different creative types, such as a fashion enthusiast, an artist, and a musician, with details about the event. AI was utilized for image manipulation, and color theory (using orange for creativity, success, and confidence) and Gestalt principles (similarity) were applied. Sans-serif typefaces were used for readability, with text integrated into images and separated by orange parallelograms, mirroring CultureCon's website design. I self-assess my work, acknowledging areas for improvement with further AI use while appreciating the learned Photoshop skills.
